Student centered learning. we all gave ideas of what a good language learner is, what are their caracteristics. All of them could be separated from behavior caracteristics and personalities. Definetly our practice must be student centered, give them tools to solve their problems, meaning that they at the end have to be able to communicate in a second language.
I loooove zero prep book. With the Microteaching activity got to see how helpful this book is to work the four skills and without too much preparation. It was really interesting to see how our collegues would approach every activity and even when they repeated some of them they were very different from each other, i gues it had to do with our personal colors.
Rubrics... To be honest, i don't use them as much as i should. Being with little kids makes it a bit hard to keep track of certain things, they are very active so personaly i find it a little challenging, but now seeing how they work I definetly going to try to use them in my classes.
We all have heard about how our mind controls our body, but what about the other way around? I have never put too much thought about it until we did an exercise about that in our speaking class. We have to see our Students body language it will tell us too much about how they are feeling and we can do something about it, make them feel better just by changing their posture. Maybe good for them.
Thinking back on the true colors activity was very interesting to see how we all have different personalities and how this influence our teaching. Also to have in mind that our students fit into this categories and us as a teachers we need to find the correct way to approache our groups according to their needs and the way they learn. I think that the best would be to mix the different styles.

Where are you?
